The Peplink Pepwave Surf SOHO is a professional router designed for home offices, small businesses, RVs, boats and other installations requiring several possible internet connection methods.
The router provides one Gigabit Ethernet WAN port, WiFi WAN and a USB 2.0 connection for compatible 3G/4G USB modems.
This allows a fixed broadband connection to be combined with a WiFi hotspot or mobile connection for backup and failover.
The integrated dual-band WiFi 5 access point uses 3x3 MIMO and operates simultaneously on 2.4 and 5 GHz. Maximum theoretical wireless data rates are 450 Mbps at 2.4 GHz and 1300 Mbps at 5 GHz.
Four Gigabit LAN ports provide wired connectivity for computers and other network equipment.
Advanced networking functions include VLANs, Stateful Firewall, QoS, PepVPN and automatic WAN failover.
Important: the Surf SOHO does not contain an integrated 4G or 5G cellular modem. Mobile internet requires a compatible external USB modem.
The Surf SOHO is now an end-of-life product. The Peplink B One is its modern replacement for new installations.
