Boeshield Rust Free is a powerful cleaner designed to remove surface rust, corrosion and stains from a wide range of materials. Boeshield states that it is suitable for steel, stainless steel, cast iron, fiberglass, chrome, tile, porcelain and vinyl. Its active cleaning base is phosphoric acid.
For light surface rust, apply Rust Free to a cloth and wipe the affected area. For heavier rust, it can be applied directly to metal and worked with a suitable abrasive pad. Allow approximately 30 to 60 seconds of contact time and do not allow the product to dry on the surface. Wash afterwards with soap and water.

Rust Free is acidic and can dull polished surfaces. Always test on a small inconspicuous area first. Direct application on cast iron may cause white spotting from iron phosphate formation.
