Simrad RF45X Rugged Rudder Feedback Unit
The Simrad RF45X is a rugged rudder feedback unit with transmission linkage, supplied complete with a 2-meter cable and junction box. Designed for medium-duty marine applications, it provides accurate rudder position feedback to steering and autopilot systems.
Mechanically, the RF45X is identical to its predecessor, the RF45, and can be used as a direct replacement. The unit is mounted close to the rudder and mechanically connected via a 1:1 transmission linkage.
Electrically, the RF45X outputs a frequency signal (PWM) compatible with the J3XX input (AP35 / AP50). Using internal jumpers, the output signal can also be configured for compatibility with AP45 and AP9 Mk3 systems.
With support for both 12 V and 24 V DC, the RF45X is also suitable for use with stand-alone rudder angle indicators, offering flexible installation options.
