Simrad NF80 (a station controller) is a Non Follow U p remote control, which means that the rudder moves by hand steering as long as the steering lever is held at maximum port/starboard position. Move the spring-loaded steering lever to port or starboard and the rudder begins to turn in the same direction. The rudder continues to turn until the lever is released and then holds the current angle until a new angle is set.
It can also be used for course change as automatic steering. The lever has jumps back to center position when released. This wired remote control can be mounted almost anywhere. A simple design allows flush mounting using the included accessories, or external mounting on a desktop or bulkhead via an optional mounting kit. The remote control connects to your Simrad autopilot system via a single NMEA 2000® cable in your existing network, offering plug-and-play installation without complicated wiring.
