This original Garmin bail mount is designed for surface mounting compatible ECHOMAP Ultra 2 16-inch chartplotters on a flat surface.
The chartplotter sits directly in the bracket and is secured using the supplied side knobs. Its adjustable design allows the viewing angle to be tilted for improved visibility from the helm.
The bracket can also be used as a drilling template when marking the mounting holes. For fiberglass installations, Garmin recommends lightly countersinking only the upper gelcoat layer to help prevent cracking.
Important: the 16-inch version does not include a quick-release cradle. This differs from certain 10- and 12-inch ECHOMAP Ultra 2 mounting kits.
