Veratron Marine Ampèremeter Shunt.
A shunt is a weerstand die a kleine spanningsval veroorzaakt. This spanningsval in mVolt is evenredig with de current in ampère die door de weerstand gaat. This voltage wordt gemeten door de ampèremeter. The voordeel from de shunt is dat dikke draden niet meer nodig zijn bij hoge current (> 10 A). Om de totale current te meten, heeft u slechts twee dunne draden nodig from the meetinstrument naar de shunt in de aardverbinding from the hoofdsysteem.
