The Vetus BC12151 is aimed at boat owners who want a compact but capable charger for a 12V onboard electrical system. It uses a four-stage IUoU charging program and is suitable for lead-acid, gel, AGM and, according to Vetus product information, also Li-ion batteries. Its wide 90 to 265V AC input range makes it practical for different shore power supplies. An additional trickle-charge output of up to 2A helps keep a starter battery or similar battery maintained. Vetus also lists features such as active power factor correction, connection options for a remote control and battery temperature sensor, a separate alarm contact and adjustable fan speed.
