The Vetus SAPRO range is designed for boats where a regular domestic toilet is preferred, but waste still needs to be handled in a compact and controlled way. This unit combines an electric macerator with a pump, so the toilet contents are first macerated and then pumped to a holding tank or, where permitted, discharged directly overboard. That makes it possible to install a standard household toilet on board without needing a large discharge system. According to Vetus, the full process takes around 10 to 30 seconds and operates almost silently.
