This Garmin GDT 43 is a thru-hull transducer for measuring water depth and water temperature. The version under article code 010-01749-10 is supplied with a NMEA 2000 adapter, allowing direct connection to a NMEA 2000 network so the data can be shown on a compatible Garmin chartplotter or instrument display.
The GDT 43 is also useful as a replacement or retrofit option for an existing Nexus or Silva 43 mm thru-hull transducer (TH43). That makes it a practical choice for installations where the existing hull opening size and NMEA 2000 integration need to be retained.
