De AP70 Mk2 vervangt de verouderde AP70 and AP80 als IMO / SOLAS stuurautomaat controller. De Simrad AP70 Mk2 is a speciale stuurautomaat controller for professionele zeelieden op commerciële schepen. AP70 Mk2 bevat alle functies from AP70 and AP80 and is compatible with hetzelfde range from stuurautomaat computers, afstandsbedieningen and interface with navigatieapparatuur from derden als zijn voorgangers.
Thruster Integration & Rudder Feedback Support. De AP70 Mk2 maakt gelijktijdige stuurautomaat besturing from maximum 6 roeren and boegschroeven mogelijk door optionele AD80- or SD80-interfacemodules toe te voegen. De strusters kunnen worden ingesteld om automatisch onder a door de gebruiker gedefinieerde snelheidsdrempel te schakelen and worden afzonderlijk geconfigureerd for normale and werkmodi. De AP70 Mk2 ondersteunt also gespecialiseerde roer-feedback-eenheden for zwaar gebruik die zijn ontworpen for a reliable werking on board from commerciële schepen.
