The abbreviation LTE stands for Long Term Evolution and an LTE antenna is basically the same as a 4G antenna. After the development from 2G to 3G, 4G is now much more effective and faster in the mobile network. The 4G network is an extra, separately added network in the Netherlands, with a real expansion of equipment and masts. Your antenna can be adjusted accordingly, allowing you to enjoy the benefits of a 4G network.

What does auto installation entail with an LTE antenna?

Sometimes it is useful to choose an antenna that has auto installation. This means that you have a kind of plug and play antenna that does the start-up for you. The antenna then installs the driver you need to get the entire system up and running. Furthermore, all antennas are provided with manuals for the use and maintenance of the antenna. This means that everyone can get by with an LTE antenna.

Do you need a vandalism-resistant antenna?

You can buy an indoor antenna, which you place separately, attach with an adhesive strip or hang on the window with a flexible suction cup. For outdoor use, there is not only an outdoor antenna that can withstand the elements, but you can also purchase an antenna that is vandalism-resistant. By installing these types of antennas you limit the risk of sabotage or vandalism. The most robust possible mounting mechanism is used - the so-called single-point mounting - which makes it impossible or very difficult to reach it from the outside. For public spaces or buildings where the risk of vandalism is greater, a vandalism-proof LTE antenna is the best product for your location, which limits the risk of damage to your antenna or environment.

Additional supplies for installing your antenna

The installation package for your antenna includes a number of meters of cable as standard. This is usually sufficient for the location you have in mind and the antenna manufacturer has researched the minimum needs of the average customer. However, it is useful to measure the length in advance, so that you do not run out of cable for your purpose. Otherwise we also have an extra antenna cable. Are you not using a regular connection, but a USB connection? Then you have the option to select antennas with a USB cable that you can connect to a router. This allows you to provide multiple devices with access to your 4G network in a camper or on a boat.
