Easily attach your compatible 4, 8 or 12 pin transducer to the transom of your boat with this mount, which provides excellent echo sounder reception at all speeds. Because the transducer is always in the water, the mount does not protect the transducer from underwater obstructions and will cause some braking effect on the boat. The included transducer splash shield reduces excessive spray from your compatible transducer when sailing at high speeds
You can also use this mount to attach the transducer to the hull of your boat and adjust the angle of the transducer so that it is parallel to the surface of the water; this has no braking effect. And because the transducer is outside the water with this mounting method, the echo sounder does not follow the bottom when the boat is at plane speed.
