Important LINK Aware compatibility:
The IT-85 is only compatible with the second-generation LINK Aware IT-34B. ISOtunes identifies this version by the green detail on the headband and the boom microphone port underneath the right ear cup.
The LINK 2.0 already includes a built-in microphone for phone calls. The optional IT-85 is intended to provide clearer call quality in noisy workplaces by positioning the microphone closer to the user's mouth.
