The Scanstrut LMB-A1 and LMB-F1 are professional self-levelling radar mounts designed for installation at the backstay of a sailing yacht.
The system keeps the radar antenna as close to horizontal as possible while the yacht heels, helping maintain optimum radar beam alignment.
The main levelling unit uses a finely tuned hydraulic damping system that automatically reacts to changes in heel angle. It is completely passive, maintenance-free and requires no electrical power.
This product page combines two variants:
• LMB-A1 – radar mounted aft of the backstay
• LMB-F1 – radar mounted forward of the backstay
The purpose and basic specifications are the same. The principal difference is the position of the radar relative to the backstay.
The mounting pole is approximately 2.6 m / 8 ft 6 in high and is supplied in two sections with a concealed joining piece.
