The Zibro Type R wick is an original replacement wick for the Toyotomi/Zibro KR-47 kerosene heater.
It is made from heat-resistant glass fibres and designed for prolonged exposure to fuel and high operating temperatures.
Over time, the wick can gradually harden and absorb fuel less effectively. Difficult ignition, an uneven flame or reduced heating performance can indicate that replacement is required.
Toyotomi recommends regular inspection and gives approximately annual replacement as a general guideline, depending on use and fuel quality.
