The Raymarine AIS700 is a Class B AIS transceiver for boats that receives AIS signals and also transmits your own vessel information. This allows other AIS-equipped vessels to be shown on the navigation display while making your own boat visible to other vessels and shore stations.
The AIS700 uses SOTDMA technology with 5 W transmit power. This provides a stronger Class B AIS signal than older 2 W CSTDMA systems. The built-in VHF antenna splitter simplifies installation by allowing the existing VHF antenna to be shared between the radio and AIS installation. The unit supports NMEA 2000 / SeaTalkNG, NMEA 0183 and USB for connection to Raymarine multifunction displays, older navigation systems and PC navigation software.
